Brand USA and Air New Zealand have just returned from hosting a fun-filled seven-night MegaFam across six exciting, unique itineraries, culminating with a finale celebration event held in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the finale, agents shared their experiences with each other, enabling attendees to better sell the destinations upon their return to Australia & New Zealand.
30 Australia and 30 New Zealand travel agents were lucky enough to secure highly sought-after music-themed tickets to the United States after each winning an Air New Zealand incentive. The groups were split into teams and explored the below diverse itineraries:
• Rocking the Pacific North West – Washington and Oregon
• Soul Sounds of the South – Louisiana & Mississippi
• Dancing through the Midwest – Illinois & Michigan
• Neighbourhood Vibes – California & Arizona
• Folk Songs from the Last Frontier – Fairbanks & Anchorage, Alaska
• Native American Sounds – Montana & North Dakota
The trip culminated in two days in Las Vegas that showcased the city’s unique blend of world class restaurants, shopping, entertainment, nightlife, and experiences.
Highlights of the Las Vegas itinerary included staying at The LINQ Hotel; a night flight over the Strip with Maverick Helicopters; The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil; VIP entry at Intrigue to see The Chainsmokers; TopGolf; shopping at the South Premium Outlets; visiting the Shelby Museum; as well as a grand finale event held at the glitzy Havana Room at Tropicana Las Vegas.
The group also visited nearby Lake Mead on the Colorado River and were treated to the nature-based activities and experiences available just outside the city.
As the largest trade fam to depart Australia and New Zealand for the U.S., Brand USA returned a second time to partner with Air New Zealand to promote both the airline’s experience as well as the diversity of the U.S. for travellers.
To secure a spot, travel agents were asked to sell three return Air New Zealand flights to the United States during the campaign incentive period. Agents also attended Brand USA hosted road shows across Australia, where they learned about the many diverse MegaFam itineraries and were taken behind the scenes on a musical experience with U.S. – themed food and drink plus multiple prizes won on the night.
